Poetry: Coffee Orders Given

Tropical leaves and

Dappled sunshine in the morning

The exact same coffee orders

Given without hesitation

Extra crumpets with honeycomb

You didn’t need to buy them

Or anything, really

But you did, because you were being rather lovely

Whispers of change on the other side of the equinox

A shark tooth necklace rated 10/10 over the Lourve

Institutions unexpected rising along the Brisbane river

Good old-fashioned values floating away just so and I remembered this time

To hug you goodbye

Dappled sunshine in the afternoon and

Maple leaves
