Poetry: Girls and Hayley Kiyoko

Songstress, my dear one

Sing them for me

Standing strong in her own power

Her music and love streaming out behind her

Like musical notes on a page

You leave a bit of your music and light in everyone you touch

Your songs are beautiful, my dear one

Sing them for me

Peacocks and petals

And pearls

Girls and Hayley Kiyoko

I agree with you

Taylor Swift is definitely gay

Except for Hiddleswift

That was 100% real and I will brook no argument

You love their music and songs, my dear one

Sing them for me

It’s a frightening kind of feeling

To see you go free into the world

But you’ll be okay, my dear one

Sing them for me

I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you

When you needed me to be

And I’m sorry that you weren’t there for me

When I needed you to be

But just like a phoenix rising from the ashes

You’ll far outpace me, I think

In Saudi Arabia and

Other places you’ll go

I can’t wait to see you again

Our words and the story of two sisters

Sing them for me
