Poetry: Quietly Into The Night

Underneath the gumnut trees and moon dipped skies

Lies a hushed sleeper dreaming peacefully of sacred ties

Floating connections undisguised by fiction or friction

Puff quietly into the night and thoughts unnoticed and hidden

Bubble to the surface and the visions he sees are sometimes cruel sometimes kind

Always though a visage quiet sweet and divine

Under an Australian doona or warm silk sheets

Rest peacefully sweet soul even in the warmest heats
