Poetry: Sugar Rush

Oh Reese’s peanut butter gumdrops

Don’t give me half the sugar rush

That she did yesterday

Like a cotton candy cloud of happiness

In high heeled boots and

Very cute shorts

Lollipops and sherbet bombs

Have nothing on the touch of your body

And your hands twirling in my hair

Should undo me even more and yet

My chest is tightly wound

Like chocolate coated raspberry licorice
