Poetry: Rosy Magic

Magic isn’t a ritual and it isn’t found in books

It’s the will to survive and create change

So when I say that I want to sprinkle Rosy magic

On whoever I’m with

What I mean is that I want them to thrive

I want them to have courage

To be a Queen or a King

Rule their own lives

With kindness to themselves and others

There’s nothing worse than

Losing yourself

Subsuming yourself

Giving yourself away

Sachi magic isn’t like that

I’ll always turn around and say

That I don’t feel sorry for you

That I won’t cover for you

Sachi magic is me pushing you on a dirt bike

Straight down a terrifying hill at full speed

Yelling in your ear to

Choose your own adventure
