Poetry: Whom God Will Entrust

An evening in three parts, a trinity, if you will pardon the pun

Red jacket, black sneakers and fluffy cute bun

On the one hand strawberry cheesecake is very sweet

The other stuff needs work, but I thought it was neat

That you so clearly wanted to climb up that wall

Give me rosemary and play board games wherewithal

Nothing is worth more than happiness and freedom

Thanks for continuing I’m glad that we journey on

The road that is long and sometimes winding

Narrow is the path on which those who seek are finding

The right thing, Holy Spirit to guide us

We’ll wander about with whom God will entrust

To each other, to us

It’s a wild world out there but I’m surrendering, you see

To the river of love Christ breathes into me
