Poetry: Cathedral Of Leaves

Plinth of stone and light flickering through leafy trees

A girl and an elf in embrace and taking their ease

Under a cathedral of leaves in a summer sweet breeze

Beauty offered up on an altar to whom they believe

Will hear sighed prayers and breathy pleas

Pollen on the wind from all around the seven seas

Birdsong and bees flitting on honeyed strawberries

Crushed between sweet lips in loving release

Lady Aphrodite we long to please
