Poetry: Beauty

The kindest thing about being pretty

Is that you spread joy wherever you go

Something fair in a gracious face

The tipping nose and flighty lace

Of your eyelashes long and lush

You’re marked with the swell

Of Venus as well, her gifts afell

And I will always be very grateful

To see your beauty and thankful

Happiness sprinkled on wildflowers

Growing Roses in gentle bowers

Finding sweetness in daydreams

Of you underneath moonbeams
