Poetry: Save Your Light

Save your light, dear ones

When your candle burns low

The flickers in its orange glow

Dim in wind’s blustery blow

Save your light, dear ones

Take that love into your heart

The soft red curtains pull apart

Focus on the bright find the art

Save your light, dear ones

Hold tight to your dreams

Know that dark only succeeds

In decorating the starry reams

Save your light, dear ones

Let it grow, let it grow, let it glow

Until no longer a candle my bonfire

Burns so hot that I consume

Myself in the ashes of my release

And rise like a phoenix to save

Not just my own but

Save your light, dear ones
