A Letter To Rose: Sweet Dreams

A continuation of my fictional work, Valerie replies to Rose.

Dear Rose,

I am so incredibly disappointed in you. I believed in you and I trusted you, how could you ever hope to repair any of this? You say that you are glad you reported me to the High Council. Why? Do you enjoy my suffering, do you want to see me in pain? That sounds like you.

I did some things I’m not proud of, sure, but now I’m going to be better. I am trying to do the right thing by my country, and if you had really loved me, you would have supported me in that.

But you never really loved me, and of course you threw away the love I gave you. Two spies stuck in deadlock, trying to outwit each other. Well congratulations, Rose, you won round two. It isn’t a knock out though, and you left some weak points in your armour.

I’m coming for you, and I will never let you go free of me. So I wouldn’t worry your pretty little head even a minute more, I’ll soon be there to hush your fears and soothe you to sleep. When I am done with you this time, I will make sure you don’t wake up.

Sweet Dreams,

Valerie
